Better health, the island way.

Gentle, computerized chiropractic care from Dr. Jerry Nashman, DC — helping families across Kitsap County move, work and live without pain for more than three decades.

- About Us

A gentler approach to feeling like yourself again.

For over thirty years, Island Health & Chiropractic has been a quiet fixture of the Bainbridge Island community — a small, family-run practice built on careful listening, computerized precision and the belief that the body is designed to heal itself.

Dr. Jerry Nashman, DC, founded the practice in 1991 after training in both traditional manual adjustments and modern instrument-assisted techniques. Today, the office serves families, athletes, expecting mothers and weekend warriors from across Kitsap County.

What we offer

Care that moves with you, from first visit to full recovery.

Every treatment begins with a thorough evaluation — posture, range of motion, and a computerized scan of your spine. Then we build a plan around your goals, not a template.

ProAdjuster® Technology

Computerized analysis and adjustment that detects subtle joint dysfunction and corrects it with a gentle, precise impulse — no twisting required.

Spinal Adjustments

Traditional and instrument-assisted adjustments to restore proper alignment, reduce nerve interference and relieve chronic pain at the source.

Family Chiropractic

Safe, gentle care for every age — from infants with colic and toddlers learning to walk, to grandparents who want to keep up with them.

Pregnancy & Postnatal

Webster-informed prenatal care to ease lower-back and pelvic discomfort, plus postpartum support as your body recovers and realigns.

Sports & Performance

Helping runners, cyclists and weekend athletes recover from injury, prevent the next one, and unlock more efficient movement patterns.

Wellness & Lifestyle

Posture coaching, ergonomic guidance, stretches and nutrition input — small habits that compound into real, lasting change.

- Conditions we treat

If something feels off, we can probably help.

Pain is a signal, not the problem. We focus on finding the underlying mechanical cause — a misaligned joint, a compressed nerve, a held pattern of tension — and addressing it directly.

- Testimonials

Three decades of island neighbors getting back to themselves.
